2015 Hot Air Balloon Ride Giveaway

North Western Electric Cooperative is partnering with United Way of Defiance County to giveaway a hot air balloon ride THIS FRIDAY, AUGUST 14th in the morning in the Touchstone Energy hot air balloon. We want to thank someone who "lifts" others in our community with a hot air balloon ride. Nominate someone who volunteers their time and talent in Defiance County.

 

 

Do you know someone in Defiance County that volunteers in our community with their time and talent? Now is their time to be recognized for "lifting” others. Tell us who and why in just a couple sentences. The contest will run Sunday, August 9th 12AM EST through Wednesday, August 12th 12AM EST. 

Entrants must be at least 18 years old.  Height and weight restrictions apply.  Riders will be required to climb into and out of a tall basket and will be standing during the flight, so please consider any health or physical limitations before entering the contest.  Balloon ride is not guaranteed and will be flown weather permitting in the morning of Friday, August 14th.  The length of the flight and ability to launch will be determined by the balloon pilot.  Winner will be contacted using the information provided and announced LIVE ON-AIR with Rick Small during Mix 98.1’s Morning Show Thursday, August 13th between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.  Winners grant NWEC and United Way of Defiance County permission to use their name, city location and photographic images for promotional purposes.  All entries must be received by midnight on Wednesday, August 12th.
