We are so excited to partner with you this year for our annual community giving campaign. It is because of YOU that we are able to do all that we do in Defiance County. We are asking and encouraging the Defiance community to continue to support the efforts of UWDC. We are eager to collaborate and discuss ways to reach our goal of $300,000.
Our virtual portal includes everything you'll need for giving - information on all the programs we fund, our annual impact report, and a toolbox to help guide you in your company campaign. And most importantly, all giving - even payroll deductions! Our new and improved pledge card offers community members multiple ways to give - payroll deduction, cash, check, or bank/ACH withdrawal.

Join the 52 Club
This campaign season, the UWDC will also be promoting “The 52 Club.” The phrase refers to those donors who pledge to support the organization with $1 per week, or $52 a year. It is the hope that donors will be challenged in their thinking that one dollar per week can and will make a difference. As much as we appreciate large contributions, we want it to be known that contributions of any amount are impactful and appreciated!
For instance,
- $52 a year will pay for two children enrolled in the Dolly Parton Imagination Library free book gifting program.
- $52 a year will pay for 17 students to receive a backpack of nutritious food for one weekend.
- It will also pay for a 30-day supply of life-sustaining medication for seven individuals.
